"There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them." -Joseph Brodsky
As part of their studies at Excalibur Classical Academy, scholars are given personal copies, or “keep books” of some of the classics read in their courses. It is the hope of the faculty and staff at Excalibur Classical Academy that these books will form the core of the scholars’ own classical library that will continue to grow as they engage in lifelong learning.
Scholars are typically given two keep books per year through their elementary school years, and up to two books per class during their secondary studies. All keep books are selected from a special curated list and are given to every scholar who attends the academy.
Here's a sample of keep books per grade:

Excalibur Classical Academy is preparing future leaders and statesmen through principle-based education centered in classics and great mentors. Scholars enjoy a classical liberal arts curriculum encompassing history, English, math, visual and performing arts, laboratory science, foreign language, physical education, and college preparatory electives. We seek to inspire our scholars to become life-long, self-motivated learners who can identify, understand, seek, and share what is true, noble, and good. By coupling servant leadership training and core values with our classically based curriculum, Excalibur Classical Academy develops scholars who are virtuous leaders in their homes and communities while having an immediate positive impact on those around them.
All campuses and programs are fully accredited by Cognia, which serves over 36,000 public and private institutions in more than 90 countries.
